21.06.08 TASK: Stonehaven Team paged by MRCC Forth to a call of a person in the water.
LOCATION: Crawton.
Report has been passed to Forth MRCC by a fishinerman that a item in the water appeared to be a body. Teams search north along with MRI128, nothing found.
WEATHER: 9-10 Deg, Vis Good, Low Cloud.

21.06.08 TASK: Montrose Team paged by MRCC Forth to a call of a person stuck on mud.
LOCATION: Montrose basin .
Report has been passed to Forth MRCC a fishinerman trying to access his boat at low water was stuck in mud. Montrose Mud team responded along with Stonehaven CRT on PR at St Cyrus and using specialised equipment along with Tayside Fire & Rescue service managed to extricate the male to saftey.

20.06.08 TASK: Montrose & Arbroath paged by MRCC Forth to assist Tayside Police.
LOCATION: Montrose.
Report has been passed to Forth MRCC that a Male had been missing in the Montrose Area. Teams were sent to strategic locations and tasked. Montrose ILB + ALB also assisted with the search. Stood Down 1400hrs, Nothing found.

14.06.08 TASK: Stonehaven paged by MRCC Forth to assist the Aberdeen team.
LOCATION: Stonehaven - Aberdeen.
Report has been passed to Aberdeen MRCC that a red flare had been seen between Stonehaven and Aberdeen. Teams were sent to strategic locations along the cliff for optium viewing while Aberdeen lifeboat and MRI42 searched inshore then offshore

11.06.08 TASK: Request by MRCC Forth for Montrose to attend a fishing boat being towed in by Montrose lifeboat
LOCATION: Montrose Harbour.
Report has been passed to Forth MRCC that a Aberdeen registered fishing vessel with mechanical problems off the coast of Johnshaven. Forth requested the lauch of Montrose lifeboat "Moonbeam" to assist with a tow back to harbour. ME cre to collect details.

09.06.08 TASK: Arbroath CRE paged by Forth MRCC by request of Tayside police, to missing male in Town. Backed up by Montrose CRE, Arbroath Lifeboat and Rescue 137
LOCATION: Whiting Ness to Carlingheugh Bay.
Report has been passed to Forth MRCC that a male was missing in the Arbroth area and known to be in a fragile state. Missing person was found safe and well and Tayside police took over caring for the male

02.06.08 TASK: Gourdon IRT requested to attend a vechicle in an unusual position.
LOCATION: Gourdon to Inverbervie, lower road.
Report has been passed to Forth MRCC that a vehicle was seen in a unusual position on the fore shore between Gourdon and Inverbervie. Grampian Police requested a search of the area.
WEATHER: 8-10 Deg, Cloudy, Slight wind.

02.06.08 TASK: Arbroath paged to report of bomb on beach.
LOCATION: West Mains to Rum Ness .
Report has been passed to Forth MRCC that member od the public has spotted what apeared to be an unexploded bomb. It turned out to be a Mk5 smoke flare used by the navy - after EOD discussion was decleared safe and removed for disposal.

LOCATION: Stonehaven & Arbroath.
Report has been passed to Forth MRCC that a vessel was reported over due from port. Teams tasked to check for vessel and was located back in Arbroath Harbour. All safe and well

26.05.08 TASK: Montrose, Stonehaven amd Gourdon Teams tasked along with R137 and MRI to seach.
LOCATION: Catterline Bay.
Report has been passed to Forth MRCC that a male was reported missing in the area.
WEATHER: 13-15 Deg, Sunny, Slight wind.

23.05.08 TASK: Montrose IRT requested to attend unexploded bomb.
LOCATION: Lunan Beach.
Report has been passed to Forth MRCC that a unexploded bomb had been located at Lunan Beach. WEATHER: 12 Deg, Light breeze and overcast.

03.05.08 TASK: Montrose, Arbroath & Gourdon paged to report of young male at the base of a cliff..
LOCATION: Arbroath, Victoria Park (North).
Young male recover by the means of cliff decent and then uninjured recover. Young male, thought to be a visitor to the area for the May weekend, was no worse for his ordeal, apart from cold and shaken. WEATHER: 13 Deg, Light breeze and bright.

27.04.08 TASK: Montrose & Gourdon paged to assist Tayside police with with search for missing male.
LOCATION: Montrose basin.
Assisted police search with teams from Montrose coastguard and lifeboat search for missing male. Nothing found all stood down.
ACCESS: Various entry point via farm track.
WEATHER: 15 Deg, Light breeze and bright.

14.04.08 TASK: Gourdon IRT paged to assist police with distressed female attempting to enter water. Stonehaven paged to assist.
LOCATION: Inverbervie
Assisted police restrain young female and securing to stretcher. Carried out, and returned to place of residence.
ACCESS: Narrow access across bridge and walk to stone beach, stood down at 20:30.
WEATHER: 8oC, still and light.

01.03.08 TASK: Montrose Coastguard paged at 20:42 by MRCC Forth to attend a merchant Vessel who had reported a medical emergency, on arrive at vessel found one crew member who had fallen down stair and had open wound to his head.
LOCATION: Montrose Harbour.
Gave first aid till ambulance crew arrived then assited in evecuation of casulty from ship. WEATHER: on scene 5 deg slight drizzle.
ACCESS: Narrow access aboard vessel, stood down at 22:00

24.02.08 - TASK: Montrose Coastguard, Montrose all weather & inshore boat buy request of Tayside police to male seen to jump into harbour. Arbroath paged and shortly after stood down.
LOCATION: Montrose Harbour, Angus.
Male rescued from water buy lifeboat and police. Ambulance in attendance.
WEATHER: Calm, rain, Temp 4-5.

Montrose Coastguard, Montrose inshore lifeboat paged by request of Tayside Police to male seen to possible enter the basin.
LOCATION: Tayock - Montrose Pottery.
Teams asked to seach shore line for male seen to be disturbed and attempting to head toward the basin. search carried out with nothing found. All stood down by police.
WEATHER: NE high wind, Rain, Temp 10-12

02.02.08 - TASK:Montrose Coastguard, Arbroath Coastguard, Arbroath Lifeboats, Tayside Police
@ 2020 to seach for a despondent 18yrs, male.

LOCATION:Carlingheugh Bay, Dickmonts Den & Whiting Ness(Arbroath)
Team departed Montrose and headed for Arbroath. After arrival on scene while the team when getting ready to commence there search, Tayside police advised that the Males had been located safe and well and that all units could now stand down and return to station.
WEATHER: Sleet/Snow. Windy, temp 1-0

17.01.08 - TASK: Continued from previous days tasking.

16.01.08 - TASK: Montrose & Arbroath re tasked @ 0830 to continue search for missing person.
LOCATION: Montrose, Basin & harbour.
Continued the search for missing male along the basin foreshore and with Montrose ALB & ILB conducted a search of the harbour area. Indepth search of the basin carried out.
Resuce 137 requested for additional assistance, landing site required.
@ 1550 a 999 call made to report of broken up canoe on Lunan beach (not related to current task). Montrose mobile responds, additional Arbroath team members paged to assist . On arrival it is found to be of no concern due to length of time item has been in the water. FAWGI.
Montrose mobile returns to original tasking, Arboath additonal memebers re-tasked to landing site. Joined by Stonehaven CRT - and additional searchs are tasked by Tayside police.
Nothing found. All teams stood down by 2030.

15.01.08 - TASK: Montrose & Arbroath paged @ 2115 to report of missing person.
LOCATION: Montrose, Basin
Tayside requested the assistance of teams via Forth coastguard. Montrose CRV sent to the Montrose basin to conduct a search for a missing male. Stood down @ 0130 on 16.01.08
WEATHER: Good Vis, Low Temp, Calm.
ADD: Rescue 137 also in attendance.

09.01.08 - TASK: Montrose paged @ 0314 to reports of a vessel on the rocks.
LOCATION: Scurdie Ness, Montrose
Forth coastguard sent Montrose CRV to the North side to meet with the first informant while another CRO checked the scurie road from his own car, after meeting with the first informant it became clear that what they had seen was the "Big Orange" offshore vessel making its way out of harbour very slowly due to the weather conditions FAWGI
WEATHER: Storm force 8 gusting 10, 2 deg, driving rain.

01.01.08 - TASK: Montrose & Arbroath Paged @ 0100 along with Arbroath ALB and ILB to the report of person over cliff.
LOCATION: Gaylet Pot (North of Arbroath).
Person found to be fisherman at foot of cliff with broken leg. Heli vac not possible due to local weather condition. Person removed, strecher and ILB, later transfered to ALB and awaiting ambulance back at Arbroath Harbour.
WEATHER CONDITIONS : Rain and Heavy Fog.
ACCESS: Mud, very slippery steep cliff path.
