MISSING FISHERMAN HUNT CALLED OFF FOR THE NIGHT
A search has been called off for a fisherman whose boat was found broken up on rocks on the Aberdeenshire coast.
Christopher Mennie, 52, from Portlethen, has been missing since Wednesday. The overturned wreckage of the Nadine II was spotted at Craigmaroinn in Portlethen Bay. A lifejacket was found. The search began on Wednesday and resumed on Thursday. Divers have left the area and coastguards stood down. Plans will be reviewed on Friday.
Coastguards, lifeboats, divers, an RAF helicopter and specialist search and rescue dogs have been involved in the operation.

STONEHAVEN & GOURDON TEAMS ASSIST ABERDEEN CRT SEARCH FOR MISSING FISHERMAN
A search has been continuing for a fisherman whose boat was found broken up on rocks on the Aberdeenshire coast.
The missing fisherman has been named as Christopher Mennie, 52, from Portlethen.
The overturned wreckage of the Nadine II was spotted at Craigmaroinn in Portlethen Bay. A lifejacket was found.The search, which began on Wednesday evening, resumed on Thursday with coastguards, lifeboats, divers, and specialist search and rescue dogs. They are carrying out a sweep of the coastline.Local hospitals were checked in case Mr Mennie had turned up there, but without success.
When seen at about 0600 BST on Wednesday he was possibly wearing a red checked shirt, a blue jacket and yellow oilskins.There was a sighting offshore at Newtonhill at about 1255 BST by someone who recognised the boat, and also off Portlethen at about 1400 BST.

SINGLE HANDED FISHERMEN GOES MISSING
At eleven oclock Friday morning Forth Coastguard were called by the skipper of the FV Sharon Rose reporting that he had come across the FV Boy Joshua with no one onboard.
Forth Coastguard had commenced a search for the single-handed skipper based around the last position of the fishing vessel which had not moved as it is was still attached to the creels.
The position is one mile from Whitingness.
Units that were mobilised in this search were Coastguard rescue teams from Arbroath, Montrose and Carnoustie. RNLI lifeboats have been requested to launch from Arbroath, Montrose and Broughtyferry. A rescue helicopter was also searching the area

SEARCH FOR MISSING MALE TURNS UP NOTHING
Montrose, Gourdon, Arbroath & Carnoustie were paged by Forth Coastguard to perform a searchto the of coastline north of Arbroath for missing male known to be from the local area. All teams were stood down at low light after an in-depth search.

11.2.07 Montrose paged to power failure at the Inverbervie transmission site. Prepaired to run power generation, stood down after reinstated power supply.
27.3.07, Montrose paged to the discovery of unexploded munition.
Located and the Royal Navy Bomb Disposal was contacted to carry out controlled explosion on (28.3.07).
12.5.07, Montrose paged to male seen trapped in basin mud. Recovered and passed to awaiting ambulance.
17.5.07, Montrose paged to Assist police and Arbroath CRT for missing O.A.P. in the Arbroath area, stood down before on scene.
30.5.07, Montrose paged for Fishing cobble overdue from Usan area. Tasked to search area. Stood down on arrival at Usan. Vessel returned to harbour.
26.6.07, Montorse paged. Disturbed male seen at Scurdie lighthouse. Arrival on scene to see male in police custody.
29.6.07, Montrose & Arbroath paged for Cliff Rescue North of Lunan, Recover two dogs from cliff and carry out search for owner.
29.7.07, Montrose & Arbroath paged to Medivac from Lunan Bay, Assist ambulance crew with female who had broken her ankle.
4.8.07 Montrose coastguard along with Montrose lifeboat and ILB paged to reports of fisherman stuck on rocks at St Cyrus, on arrival fisherman was found to be stuck on stack and was recovered by montrose ILB and transfered the ALB before returning to harbour. Fishman required no medical assistance.
6.8.07 Montrose paged. Person(s) stuck on mud at Montrose Basin. All stood down.
13.8.07 Montrose, Gourdon, Arbroath & Carnoustie paged to search the north of Arbroath coastline for missing male. Search stood down at low light.
17.8.07 Montrose, Gourdon, Arbroath & Carnoustie paged to search, along with Montrose & Arboath lifeboats for missing male fallen overboard in the Arbroath area. Found later.
22.8.07 Montrose Coastguard paged to reports of a dog struggling in the water at Elephant rock.Forth coastguard also requested the launch on Montrose lifeboat. Dog was recovered by the ILB and retuned to its owner safe and well. All units stood down
14.9.07 Montrose team paged following reports from fisherman entering montrose harbour of a small vessel aground on montrose beach, team searched area and identifed old wreak as what the fisherman had seen. All stood down. F.A.W.G.I
12.10.07 Montrose team paged byForth coastguard to reports of a dispondent female last seen near the cliff at Arbroath. Area serched by Montrose and Arbroath coastguard along with Arboath lifeboats, Stood down after female was found safe and well in town by police.
20.10.07 - Montrose paged by Forth coastguard following reports of flares from the north side of town, Area searched by Montrose coastguard, later stood down. FAWGI
21.10.07 - (a few hours after previous shout) Montrose paged by Forth coastguard to a person wishing to commit suicide at Abroath cliffs, stood down while on route resolved by police.
10.11.07 - Montrose paged by Forth coastguard to person and dog stuck down cliffs at the "rocks of solitude" in edzell (20 miles inland) person and dog had scrambled to the top of cliff with help from local with rope as team arrived, gave safety advice and returned to station.
26.11.07 - Montrose paged by Forth coastguard to reports of a broken down vessel the "Usan Lass" just of scurdie lighthouse, Montrose ILB and ALB took the vessel and tow and retunred her to montrose harbour where she was met by montrose coastguard, advice given and details taken.
