FRIDAYS GO WITH A BANG
Montrose Initial Response Team along with Station Officer Gary Macdonald, has been tasked to EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) on Lunan Bay beach.
Montrose Station Officer, Gary Macdonald goes on to say "the tasking earlier today at Corbie Knowe, the ordanance was a phospherous marker which is commonly used by RAF."
"It was discovered last night by a member of the public and reported to Tayside Police who in turn notified Forth MRCC. Two members from Montrose CRT was requested by EOD to be in attendance to assist with comms and securing the beach area.The EOD team from Faslane was alerted and arrived and carried out an assessment of the ordanance. They then carried out a small controlled explosion on the live marker."
